
COVID-19 battle: Government announces 50K Made in India ventilators
50,000 ventilators will be made available under the PM Cares fund. Just a few weeks back Prime Minister's office had decided that they are going to allocate 2,000 crores from PM Cares fund to get these ventilators.
Out of 50,000 ventilators, 30,000 are going to manufactured by Bharat Electronics and the remaining 20,000 are going to manufactured by AgVa Healthcare.
So far 2,900 ventilators have been manufactured out of which 1340 have already been delivered to the states and Union Territories.
The prominent recipients including state of Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Bihar, Karnataka, Rajasthan and by the end of June 2020 additional ventilators will be delivered to all the state and Union Territories
